Two Men Charged with February Murder of American Paul Latourell Facing Potential prison Sentences of 15 and 3 Years
The trial of two men charged in the death of American expatriate Paul Latourell, killed in his Denpasar, Bali home on February 15, 2014, is now in its final phase at the Capital City’s District Court. Prosecutors have demanded 15 years imprisonment for Auliawi (20) – the man accused of stabbing the 52-year old American in his bedroom.
Meanwhile. Prosecutors have charged Marsianus Simarto (30), the man who delivered Auliawi to Latourell’s house, only with fencing stolen goods and demanded a lesser sentence of 3 years. Final sentencing of the two will take place at the end of November 2014.
