Jakarta students nabbed selling marijuana

Three students from private universities in Jakarta were nabbed by the Kuta Police for distributing marijuana during their vacation in Bali last week. “All three suspects were caught when the police were conducting raids at Ground Zero in Kuta on Feb. 28,” said head of Kuta Police Comr. I Gede Putu Dedy Ujiana, as quoted by Antara news agency on Friday.

The students, with initials KA, 22, IK, 23, and AYN, 25, all were residents of South Jakarta. At around 10:30 p.m. on Thursday last week, during the raids, the police found the three students had a package of 27.2 grams of marijuana. One of the suspects, AYN, acknowledged that the marijuana had been brought from Jakarta to be sold in Bali during their vacation.
